Haylea Weiss BS, RDMS (AB FE OB/GYN)

I am proud to say that I have been a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer since 1984. It’s been a remarkable journey since my graduation from the Washington Hospital Center, where I trained as a radiologic technologist and Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience in various settings, including radiology offices, private practices, and maternal-fetal medicine. In 2013, I achieved a milestone by passing my fetal echo boards, and most recently, I attained my bachelor’s degree at the age of 60.

I’m privileged to work at the American Institute of Ultrasound (AIUM). My personal commitment lies in educating fellow sonographers while being dedicated to lifelong learning.

On my Instagram page, I often emphasize the importance of setting goals, establishing timelines, and envisioning one’s life path. Ultrasound has been the driving force behind my aspirations and achievements.

Sonography Student Scholarship

The Ultrasound Schools Info Sonography Student Scholarship is a national, non-renewable $1,000 scholarship awarded to an aspiring sonographer currently enrolled in a CAAHEP accredited diagnostic medical sonography program, or a high school student who has been accepted to a program.
