Marybeth Tomory B.S., RDMS, Abd, Ob/Gyn, FE

Marybeth joined our team as a member of the scholarship committee for Fall 2021

Marybeth Tomory, RDMSMy name is Marybeth.  I have been a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer since 2002.  I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Radiology from Southern Illinois University.

I walked into an Ultrasound room when I was 16 and I was hooked!  I’ve had the opportunity to practice sonography in many different settings.  I’ve worked in hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, private OB/GYN offices, and I’m currently working for a private MFM.

I have performed all types of General ultrasound, OB/GYN studies, and Vascular studies throughout my career.  The last 10 years have been all OB/GYN with an emphasis on Maternal Fetal Medicine.  I became registered in Fetal Echocardiography in 2018.

My goal is to give back to my community of Sonographers.  I have worked with many people, sonographers and physicians, who have given their time, energy, and knowledge to make me a better sonographer.

Our field is always improving and we as Sonographers should always be learning.

I have an educational TikTok account: Sono.eyes and an Instagram account: SonoeyesUltrasound

These accounts are to support fellow sonographers, especially those who may be new to Ob/Gyn or those interested in MFM. It is also there to support current MFM sonographers as we are forever students!
